2025 First Signal Brigade Reunion

   The 2025 Reunion will take place from Monday September 8, 2025, thru Thursday September 12, 2025, in Charleston, SC. The reunion Hotel is the Town and Country Inn.

   Registrations will be opened in early March.

   Only active members and their guests may sign up for the reunion. If you are not a member of the 1st Signal Brigade Association, or if your membership has lapsed, please join the association or renew your membership before you register or book a hotel room at the Town and Country Inn.

   Read the details of the reunion below. Once the registration is opened, you will receive an email with instructions on how to register.

REGISTRATION:

   Active members who plan on going to the reunion can use the 2025 Reunion Registration which has the details for registering for the reunion and reserving a hotel room.    

   New-members or lapsed members can join or rejoin the association, and then use the registration link.

FEES:

1st Signal Brigade Association (1SBA)

   Registration Fee - $15.00

Armed Forces Reunion, Inc. (AFR)

   Registration Fee - $15.00 (non-refundable).

   Credit Card Fee - 4.0% non-refundable convenience fee for all transactions.

   Room Rate - $149.00 per night (plus $21.04 taxes and fees)

   Parking      - Free parking

   Breakfast   - Not included

DINNERS:

   The Unit Dinners and the Brigade Dinner will be held at the hotel.

Unit Dinners:

   Wednesday evening Unit dinners $50.00 (inclusive) buffet dinner.

Brigade Dinners:

   Thursday evening dinner choices:

      Beef    $50.00 (inclusive)

      Chicken $50.00 (inclusive)

      Fish $50.00 (inclusive)

      Vegetarian $50.00 (inclusive)

SUGGESTED TOURS:

   All tours are optional.

Driver and Guide gratuities are not included in the tour price and are at the discretion of the individual

Tuesday, September 9

HARBOR CRUISE

Enjoy a short ride to the Aquarium Wharf Harbor.  You will then embark on a one-and-a-half-hour
harbor tour that cruises by notable landmarks such as Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie, the aircraft
carrier USS Yorktown, waterfront mansions, commercial docks, and more.  A snack bar (cash only)
and restrooms are on board.  Additionally, beer and wine (cash only) are available for purchase.
*NO CONCEALED WEAPONS ARE ALLOWED ON BOARD.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour is not accessible for wheelchairs or scooters. For walker
& cane use, if you can manage steps with railings, you can access the boat.

Aquarium Wharf could be affected by the tide limiting dock access.

Wednesday, September 10:

FORT SUMTER CRUISE

Explore a great history lesson on Ft Sumter, located in the middle of Charleston Harbor and only accessible by boat. 
We’ll depart the hotel and board the Ft Sumter Tours boat at Liberty Square.  Once aboard, you will experience
a relaxing 30-minute cruise to historic Fort Sumter. You will learn about the events which led to the outbreak of
America’s most bloody war, started at this very place on April 12, 1861. When you arrive you will be greeted by
National Park Service Rangers, who will provide further details about 
Fort Sumter and its pivotal role in the
American Civil War. After your roughly one-hour visit, you will enjoy a soothing cruise back to your departure point.

PLEASE NOTE: This tour has very limited handicapped accessibility. Ft Sumter itself is not fully handicapped
accessible and the only restrooms available for those with mobility issues will be on the tour boat.
For walker & cane use, if you can manage steps with railings, you can access the boat.  
Liberty Square is accessible; however, it could be affected by the tide limiting dock access.

PATRIOTS POINT

Be prepared to board after lunch.  Once we arrived at Patriots Point, home of the largest naval and
maritime museum in the world.  You will have time to v
isit the carrier USS Yorktown, the submarine
Clamagore, the Sumner-class destroyer USS Laffey, and a replica of a Vietnam Support base.
 
Priceless war planes used in conflicts spanning from WWII to Desert Storm are featured aboard
the USS Yorktown’s 40,000 square foot hangar bay and atop the 888-foot flight deck.
Patriots Point is also the home of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society
and their official Medal of Honor Museum with interactive exhibits.

Thursday, September 11:

CITY TOUR & CHARLESTON’S HISTORIC MARKETPLACE

Begin the day with a two-hour guided tour of the Holy City, named for its many picturesque churches. 
Favorite sites include the Battery overlooking Charleston's harbor and Fort Sumter, colorful
Rainbow Row, the Citadel, and White Point Gardens.  Arrive for an early lunch and shopping
on your own in the Market Area, Charleston's historic marketplace
surrounded by restaurants and eateries of all types. 

10:30am board bus, 2:30pm back at hotel

$67/Person includes bus & guide, Lunch on your own.

There is a limit of one hydraulically lifted scooter or wheelchair per handicap accessible bus. Please note the

combined weight of the passenger and motorized wheelchair or scooter may not exceed 500lb due to lift limitations.

If you use a scooter or motorized wheelchair but can climb the steps to board the bus, either you and/or a person travelling
with you must be able to put the scooter or wheelchair in the bus’s luggage compartment. Due to liability

 issues, drivers and tour guides cannot assist with scooters or motorized wheelchairs.
