The 1st Signal Brigade Association held its first reunion on September 3-4, 2004 at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, VA, just across the river from Washington, DC. We had 83 veterans in attendance. Included in the distinguished veterans were;

Emmett Paige (LTG USA retired), Association founder.

Emmett as a Major, was the key individual in obtaining the funding and procurement of the IWCS. Later as a LT Colonel, he served in the Brigade headquarters and commanded a Battalion.

Thomas M. Rienzi (LTG US Army retired, Brigade Commander 1969-1970.

Charles R. (Bob) Myer, (LTG US Army retired, Brigade Commander 1972.

Robert (Bob) D. Terry (MG US Army retired, Brigade founder 1966-1967.

Steve Boutelle, MG, HQ US Army, J6

General Terry was our speaker at our Saturday night banquet.  A copy of his address is included. General Rienzi was our Chaplin at the Banquet.

One of the highlights of the weekend was laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery. Prior to the wreath laying there was a dedication ceremony to our fallen comrades in the Amphitheater.  General Rienzi was again our Chaplin at this dedication ceremony.

Following this ceremony, a team of four, lead by our Chairman, Peter Kind, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Photos are in the Photo page.
